10 Mediterranean wall diptychs: one scene in two panels
Our diptychs start from a simple idea: a Mediterranean scene seen in two parts. The same place, the same light, two images that echo each other — one rock then another, a vase then a bowl of figs, a window then the sheer curtain stirred by the breeze. The ten diptychs below are grouped by mood, each with the rooms where it naturally belongs.
What makes a Cassili-home diptych
The two panels were conceived together: same size, same palette, same time of day. In most of the scenes, the horizon or the floor runs from one image to the other at the same height, so that when they hang side by side 5 to 8 cm apart, they read as a single view cut in two. The gap becomes a pause, not a break.
Every diptych comes in seven sizes, from 21 × 30 to 70 × 100 cm per panel, on 189 g/m² matte paper, as posters or framed up to 61 × 91 (black or white alder, or solid oak, with plexiglass and hanging hardware). Each panel is also sold on its own, and the diptych costs a little less than buying the two posters separately.
Sea and cove
Four seaside scenes in shades of sand, pale turquoise and evening sky. They open up a living room or bathroom wall like a window onto the coast.
The Two Rocks
The Two Rocks — from €35
Two golden limestone rocks set in the same clear water, under a peach sky: one upright and pierced, the other flat and layered. The whole diptych rests on this contrast of silhouettes. Above a sofa or a bathtub, it opens the wall onto a cove. Single panels: The Pierced Rock and The Layered Rock.
The Clear Cove
The Clear Cove — from €35
A white boat moored in turquoise water, then stone steps sinking into the same cove. You move from the open water to the shore from one panel to the next. An invitation to swim, in the living room as much as in a bathroom. Single panels: The White Boat and Steps into the Water.
The Marram Beach
The Marram Beach — from €35
The crest of a dune rippled by the wind, then a tuft of marram grass in the low sun facing the sea. It's the most pared-back of the ten, almost nothing but sand and light: a good choice for a bedroom or a living room where you want calm. Single panels: The Sand Crest and The Marram Grass.
The Limestone Coast
The Limestone Coast — from €35
A white cliff plunging into the sea, then a wind-bent pine on a limestone plateau. The green of the pine strikes a deeper note than the other sea scenes. It draws a horizon across the full width of a living room or study wall. Single panels: The Limestone Cape and The Shoreline Pine.
Whitewashed architecture
Limewashed walls, arches, low-angled light: two tone-on-tone diptychs, for rooms where you want calm more than color.
The Whitewashed Arches
The Whitewashed Arches — from €35
A vaulted niche and its built-in bench, then a staircase climbing to an arched doorway, on the same limewashed wall. Everything is sand and cream, shaped by shadow. It brings the calm of a white island house to an entryway or a bedroom. Single panels: The Stone Niche and The Whitewashed Climb.
The Room by the Sea
The Room by the Sea — from €35
An arched window open onto the bay, then a sheer linen curtain lifted by the breeze, in the same sunlit room. Above a headboard, it recalls a summer morning with the windows open; it also suits a bathroom. Single panels: The Arch over the Bay and The Curtain in the Breeze.
Greenery and patio
Olive trees, agave, leafy shadows on stone: two courtyard and terrace scenes, cooler in feel, where green takes its place beside the sand.
The Terrace by the Sea
The Terrace by the Sea — from €35
The white staircase climbing toward the sky, then the branches of an olive tree casting their shadow on a whitewashed wall facing the sea. It's the scene that best brings together greenery, architecture and the sea horizon. In a living room or a dining room, it brings the coolness of a shaded terrace. Single panels: The White Staircase and The Terrace Olive Tree.
The Shaded Patio
The Shaded Patio — from €35
An agave at the foot of a stone wall, beneath an olive tree, then a round basin whose water casts golden reflections onto the wall. The gray-green of the agave and the shade of the leaves make it the coolest of the ten, for an entryway, a living room or a bathroom. Single panels: The Agave and the Olive Tree and The Reflecting Basin.
Still life
Two arrangements of objects on stone, in the manner of still-life paintings: they belong above a sideboard, in a kitchen or in a dining room.
The Stone Sideboard
The Stone Sideboard — from €35
A ceramic vase with its olive sprig, then a bowl of ripe figs, on the same stone shelf against the same cream wall. A still life in two parts, understated and warm, to hang above a sideboard or a table. Single panels: The Vase with Olive Sprig and The Bowl of Figs.
The Patio Lemons
The Patio Lemons — from €35
A young lemon tree in its stone pot, then a terracotta amphora with two lemons at its foot. The yellow of the fruit lifts the sand tones: it's the brightest of the ten, for a kitchen or an entryway. Single panels: The Little Lemon Tree and The Amphora with Lemons.

Choosing the size and hanging it
Start from the piece of furniture the diptych will hang above, and aim for about two thirds of its width, gap included. Above a 160 cm sofa, a 50 × 70 diptych measures 106 cm with a 6 cm gap; above a one-meter chest of drawers, a 30 × 40 measures 66 cm. Hang the center of the set 145 to 150 cm from the floor, or leave 20 to 25 cm between the furniture and the bottom of the panels.
One thing matters more than anything else: alignment. Since the horizon or the floor usually runs from one panel to the other, any difference in height between the two breaks the scene. Draw a level line before drilling. All the sizes and their widths are gathered in our wall diptych guide.
In short
Ten Mediterranean scenes in two panels: four of sea and cove for the living room and bathroom, two whitewashed architecture scenes for the entryway and bedroom, two terrace and patio scenes, two still lifes for the kitchen and dining room. Every diptych comes in sizes from 21 × 30 to 70 × 100, from €35 as posters and €89 framed, and each panel is also sold on its own. To find the right one for each room, our living room, bedroom, bathroom and kitchen pages take the selection further.
FAQ — Our Mediterranean diptychs
Can you buy just one panel of a diptych?
Yes. Each panel is sold on its own, from €19, and its name is listed under each diptych above. The complete diptych works out a little cheaper than buying the two panels separately.
Are both panels the same size?
Always. You choose one size, from 21 × 30 to 70 × 100 cm, and it applies to both panels. That is what lets you line up their edges and horizons.
Which diptych for a bathroom?
Water scenes are a natural fit: The Two Rocks, The Clear Cove, The Shaded Patio or The Room by the Sea. Choose the framed version, whose plexiglass protects the paper, and avoid walls directly exposed to splashes.
What is the delivery time?
The diptychs are printed to order and delivered within 7 to 10 days. Shipping is free on orders from €49.
