Privacy — Uploading Your Image

This page explains how the images you upload to order a wallpaper printed with your own visual are processed. It supplements our privacy policy.

Data concerned

The image file you upload and its embedded metadata, its name, type, size, pixel dimensions and a checksum; the chosen framing, the wall dimensions and the material; a pseudonymous upload identifier; and, after purchase, its link to your order. An image may also show other identifiable people.

Do not upload images containing sensitive data (health, opinions, religion, etc.): that is not the purpose of the service.

Purposes and legal basis

Your image is used solely to configure your product, calculate its price, manufacture it, handle any complaint or return, and ensure the security of the service. The legal basis is the performance of the contract you enter into with us when you place an order (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Your image is never used for advertising, as a reference, to build an image bank, for profiling or to train artificial intelligence.

Recipients and processors

Caspar GmbH, Hochstraße 10, 42781 Haan-Gruiten, Germany: our print workshop, which receives, checks, stores and prints your image on our behalf, under a data processing agreement (Article 28 GDPR).
Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestraße 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany: hosting of the application server and temporary storage of uploads, Nuremberg data centre (Germany).
Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland: production storage (SharePoint Online) of the original image after ordering, Germany data region (EU/EFTA area).
Shopify International Limited, Victoria Buildings, 2nd floor, 1-2 Haddington Road, Dublin 4, D04 XN32, Ireland: our store platform, for order and customer account data, under its own policy.

Transfers outside the European Union

Images are stored in the European Union (Germany). A transfer outside the EU/EEA only takes place on the basis of an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards, in particular the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Retention periods

Interrupted upload: deleted within 2 hours.
Completed upload without purchase: permanently deleted within 48 hours.
After ordering: the original, the print file and the production documents are permanently deleted no later than 30 days after production is completed.
Order and billing data are kept separately, for the legally required periods.

Security

Encrypted transmission, private storage with no public access, random file names, access restricted by individual permissions, file checks (format, size, malware) and automatic deletion according to the periods above.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. To exercise these rights, write to contact@cassili-home.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).

Image rights and prohibited content

By uploading an image, you confirm that you hold the rights needed to have it reproduced (copyright, image rights of the people shown) and that it contains no unlawful, violent, hateful or pornographic content, or content that infringes the rights of a third party. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order that does not comply with these rules.
